It has officially been ONE MONTH since I have started Keto!
I know what you’re all thinking, “this is just another blog about some diet some girl tried for a New Year’s Resolution” or “this wont last long, no one sticks their resolutions” or, my favorite, “keto isn’t sustainable for the long term”. Well I’m here to share my journey of this LIFESTYLE change I have made and the success I have found in just one month and what the success I hope to find in the future.
So here’s the breakdown of this past month:
Inches: -17.5inches all around
Body Fat: -4.1%
It is absolutely amazing how you see more changes in pictures than on the scale. And measurements! Take pictures throughout your journey and measurements! The scale might not move the way you want it to but that doesn’t mean your body is changing. I lost a whole 5 inches on hips and 3 inches on my waist and I can see it in the mirror and in pictures! This noticeable change makes me feel like this journey is truly going somewhere.
Consuming less than 25g of Net Carbs a day and making smart choices when it comes to protein and fats, I have been so successful this month! Was I a perfect keto-er? Not at all. I had a few cheats here and there and even a Munchkin’ induced binge. BUT, what I didn’t do was give up. I didn’t let these slip ups get me down and deter me from ultimate goals.
Thanks to Keto, I have become more in-tune with my body. I recognize when I’m actually hungry and not just bored. I have increased my daily water intake and see changes in my skin and joints. I have found a whole new feeling of confidence I don’t think I have ever felt before. I am happy. I have energy. I feel better in my clothes. I am actually starting to love my body.
I can’t wait to see where I end up with this lifestyle change but I’m ready to take each and every day head on!
